David was born in Hollidaysburg, Pa.,son of the late Mae (Stewart) Frank. He retired in 1972 as a chief petty officer from the US Navy with 20 years of service. Mr. Frank was a graduate of the Hollidaysburg High School. He was a member of The Fleet Reserve Association and enjoyed walking, history, the arts and animals. He was a trivia buff. He married Ruby M. Chiurazzi Aug. 18, 1950, in Pittsburg. She died Dec. 18 2004. Surviving are a daughter, Debra S. Mandaglio of Hagerstown, Md., two sons: David S. Frank Jr.,of Murrysville, Pa., and Dale S. Frank of Clinton, Pa., four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sisters, Gloria Bauhof of East Brunswick, NJ., M. Lorraine Sidney of Altoona and Geraldine Albrecht of Winter Haven Fl., and two brothers, Gene Stewart of Arlington, Va and Gary Stewart of Williamsburg, Va.

Gravesite Details

I was in the US Navy from 1951 till 1955. David and I were both stationed at the Commissary Store in Norfolk, Virginia. We worked there together for about three years. He was a quiet guy and fun to be around. I will never forget him. Milton Burke Jr
