"Former Mayor Of Berlin Hieghts Dies Enroute To Hospital"

"Carl J Hahn, 56, former mayor of Berlin Heights, died unexpectly Thursday evening while enroute to Sandusky Memorial Hospital. He suffered a heart attack in his Center-st home a short before his death.
Mr. Hahn was mayor of the village from 1938 until 1946. He had been employed by the Erie News Co. Sandusky, until three years ago when I'll health forced his retirement. He was born in Berlin Twp. And spent his life in this vicinity, being a member of the local Congregational Church and Lakeview Lodge 391, Knights of Pythias
Surviving are his widow, Lucille; a son, Lewis, Cleveland; two daughters, Mrs Archie Greene Clarksfield and Mrs James Smith, Sandusky, and two brothers Edward, rural Berlin Heights, and Walter rural Vermilion.
Friends may call after Saturday noon at the Hinman Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, the Revs. Harvey Parker, here and Joseph Dudley,mNorth Olmsted, officiating. Burial is to be in Riverside Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, friends may offer donations to the Erie-co Heart Fund."
