He was raised in the Friendship community and farmed there before moving to Altus in 1955 where he worked as a carpenter. Mr. Allred was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being around family and friends and going to Alaska. In addition, he enjoyed going to church and was a member of the Altus Church of God.
Survivors include his sons, Pete Allred and wife Carol of Altus, and David Allred and wife Bernice of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Arra Wanna Donica of Oklahoma City; a brother, Curtis Allred of Roland; grandchildren, Tamara Cline of Robins AFB, Ga., Felecia Killion of Bethesda, Md., Jeannie Brombolo of Pauls Valley, Cindy Allred of Anchorage, Mark Allred of Anchorage, Jennifer Litera of Barrow, Alaska and Holly Poydak of Anchorage; four great-grandkids, two great-great -grandkids, special friend Frances Dean, and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Altus Church of God officiated by Gregory Hatchett. Burial will be at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of People's Co-operative Funeral Home. Altus Times - Allred
