Farrell K. Rose passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Washington Terrace Care Center.

Farrell was born January 20, 1932 in Morgan, Utah, the son of Parley August and Martha Elenor Porter Rose. He was raised in the Morgan area

Farrell married Joyce Voss on March 25, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they lived their life in Washington Terrace, South Weber and Mesquite, Nevada.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many calling including Elders Quorum President and serving on the High Council.

Farrell worked for Hill AFB and DDO for over 35 years as a marketing and redistribution specialist.

He was the President of the Bambrough Irrigation Ditch Company for many years.

He spent many days roller-skating at Como Springs.

Farrell was an avid fisherman. He loved gardening and always had a large garden to share with others. Farrell enjoyed woodworking, beekeeping, raising cattle, hunting with his sons, and loved to cut and gather firewood for the stove. He and Joyce loved to dance every week. He was avid rock hound.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three sons, Bart Rose; Guy E. (Sandy) Rose; Jeffrey N. Rose; 4 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; Dan Rose; Jamie Jeppsen; Jennifer Patterson; Joni Hyer; his brother, Otis Rose; and sister, Natel (Ralph) Thackery.

Farrell was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Rees and Todd; and his sisters, Edith Peterson; Gay Johnson and Fern Evans.

The family expresses sincere appreciation to Dianne Christensen, a niece, Brett and Debbie, and Hospice who helped so much Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 14th at 2 p.m. at the Uintah Cemetery, 2191 East 6550 South.

The family will meet friends for a visitation on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Pioneer Ward Chapel, 6660 South 1775 East.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LDS Missionary Fund.
