Mrs. Dorice Louise "Dude" Adams, 88, of Grenada, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Grenada Lake Medical Center. She was born January 31, 1922, in Grenada County to the late Henry and Winnie Davis Cole Hood. She was a retired nurse's aide and a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Hatcher, the Rev. James Clark, and the Rev. Eugene Heimbach officiating. Interment will follow in the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include four daughters, Jean Noland (Melvin); Bonnie Costilow (Jerry) and Louise Adams Williams (Doyle) all of Grenada and Irene McNeer of Carrollton; one son, James Edward (Jimmy) Adams of Grenada; two sisters, Jack Andrews of Montague, Calif., and Terosa Bradley of Inverness, Miss.; one brother, Fred Hood of Biloxi; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Douglas Adams, sisters, Jo Latimer and Annie Mae Lindsey; and brothers, Alvin, Buddy and Ned Hood.

Pallbearers are James Joel (Jody) Adams, Daniel Dinkelacker, Rickey Hood, Scott Lemley, Chad McNeer and Michael Noland.

Garner-Harper Funeral Home has been entrusted with professional services and arrangements.
