MRS. JANE ATLEE

Mrs. Jane Atlee died at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lizzie Atlee, 1385 Logan avenue at 1:20 o'clock this afternoon, of a complication of dieases incident to old age. She had been in failing health for some time, and for the part twelve weeks she had been unable to be downstairs, the latter half of this time being confined to her bed.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Jane Stewart, was born in Huntingdon county 72 years, 5 months and 14 days ago. On December 29, 1847, she was united in marriage to Samuel J. Atlee who was a farmer by occupation. Most of their life together was spent in Centre county, until Mr. Atlee's retirement from active work about 1890, when they made their home with their son, John S. Atlee, in Sinking Valley. There Mr. Atlee died in March, 1894, and the subject of this sketch soon after came to Tyrone, residing at the home of her son, the late DeHaven Atlee. She remained in this household until her death.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph A. Atlee, of Tyrone, and John S. Atlee, of Sinking Valley. No brothers or sisters survive her, she being the last of her immediate family. The funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow.
