Funeral services for Samuel C. Brandenburg to be held Tuesday afternoon.
While mowing the grass in the lawn at his home at Harmony Saturday morning at 8 o'clock Samuel C. Brandenburg, aged 72 years and 29 days, was seized with a heart attack, fell to the ground and died almost instantly. He had not been complaining and had seemed in his usual health.
The deceased was the son of John N. and Mary Aultman Brandenburg. He had resided his entire life at the place where he died. He had been a member of the Harmony band for 25 years and attended the practice of that organziation Tuesday night of last week. He was a member of Mountain City Evangelical and Reformed Church.
He is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Clarence [Laura] Waters, Middletown; John and Leslie Brandenburg, Harmony; Mrs. Dewey Burkholder [Mary], Hagerstown; Mrs. Emmert [ALICE] Adkins, near Frederick; Charles Brandenburg, Harmony; Glenn Brandenburg, Texas; Russell Brandenburg, Hagerstown; Leo Brandenburg, Clarksburg, Montgomery County; also by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. George [Glencora] Alexander; Mrs. William [Mary L.] Summers, near Myersville, and George Brandenburg, Harmony.
Funeral Tuesday afternoon, with short services at the home at 1:30 o'clock. Further services in Zion Evangelical and Reformed church, Middletown, Rev. Philip E. Saylor officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Paul F. Bittle funeral director.
