Daughter of Theodore Bliss and Jane E. Babcock Bliss. Wife of George Baker (1855-1900) and mother of Myrtle Baker (1879-____).

"Mrs. Ella Baker, aged eighty-one years, passed away Sunday at 1 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles N. Spafard. She had been confined to her bed for four months. Private funeral services will be held at the Maxwell funeral home Wednesday at 1 o'clock with burial at Schuyler Lake. Friends may pay their respects from 11 to 12 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mrs. Baker was born May 3, 1859 at Exeter, the oldest daughter of Theodore and Jane (Babcock) Bliss. She had spent most of her life in Schuyler Lake and vicinity. Survivors include the daughter; a sister, Mrs. Homer Benedict of Syracuse; two brothers, Clarence Bliss of Ilion and Will Bliss of Hartwick; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; to all of whom deep sympathy will be extended."
