Her parents were Alexander Clements and Rachel Overend of Portadown, N. Ireland. Her grandfather, John Overend, owned farm land as far as the eye could see. Anna lived in the Mount Washington area of Pittsburgh, Pa when she died in 1923.

Anna had nine children and lost six of them - three in Feb., 1877- a terrible year for the family. The children that lived to become adults were John, William, and Mary.

John married Catherine Scheetz in July of 1905. Mary married Edward Vetter. Neither John nor Mary had children.

William married Elizabeth Brennen in Ohio in 1909 and had a son, William, born in 1912, and a daughter, Anna May, born in 1914. William's wife, Elizabeth, died of the spanish flu in 1918. After Elizabeth's death, the children (William and Anna May) went to live with her sister, Mary, who was married to Walter T. Adams, Sr. Walter was the last burgess of Hays, Pa. before it was taken into the city of Pittsburgh. Anna Clements Cochran's son John was also a burgess of Hays, Pa.

Children: Sarah (1870-?), Robert (1872-1877), James (1874-1877), Hannah (1876-1877), Annie (1878-1880), John (1879-1949), William (1881-1959), Mary (1883-1966), James (1885-1886).

Anna May Cochran, born in 1914, married Duane Reese Carnahan in 1936 had son Rodney in 1940. William Cochran, Jr. married Agnes Kirkwood in 1936 and had Billy in 1937, Judy in 1940, and Carol in 1941.
