He had owned a farm on Wolf Creek and had lived there until about 1918 ahen his son (Lou A. Bixby) took over the farm. He married Sevilla Roberts on Sept. 8, 1877 a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.P. Roberts and she survived him. He was also survived at the time of his death by, 3 children, Mrs. Agnes Bell and Mrs. Charles Bell of Eldred, PA. and one son, Lou A. Bixby of Portville, 10 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The Funeral was held at his home and the First Presbyterian Church on Feb. 7, 1928.
