Oberholtzer, Rita - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre in Waterloo in her 95th year.
Loving mother of David and his wife Anne of Waterloo. Dear grandmother of Jeffrey and his wife Lisa Hutfloetz of Waterloo and Julie Tedesco and her husband Nate of Wilmington, Delaware. Cherished great-grandmother of Easton Oberholtzer and Laila Tedesco.
Predeceased by her husband Lyle (2005); parents, Charles Roehr (1965) and Emma ((nee Steffler) 1965); brother, Gordon (1982) and a sister in infancy.
Rita was a long time member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she served in the Nursery and as a Sunday School Teacher.
Special thanks to the staff of Columbia Forest for their care over the past three years and to St. Mark's Church Congregation for their visits and prayers.
Rita's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service to celebrate Rita's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. followed by reception. Rev. Liz Kuglin-Alyea officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
