Gainesboro- Funeral services for Hattie Harris Chaffin, 82, will be held Friday, March 15, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County.

Mrs. Chaffin died Tuesday (March 12, 1991) in Cookeville General Hospital.

She was born July 24, 1908 in Jackson County and was the daughter of the late Pole and Mary Whitaker Harris.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman W. Chaffin.

Survivors include one son, Perry Chaffin of Gainesboro; five daughters, Mary L. Myers, Jamie Hix and Jo Norton, all of Gainesboro, Matilda Craighead of Cookeville, and Geraldine Collins of Portland; two brothers, Roosevelt Harris and James H. Harris, both of Gainesboro, three sisters, Mary Jo Lawson of Gainesboro, Velma Bowman and Jean Haney, both of Cookeville; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Bro. James Paul Anderson and Bro. Stan Smith will officiate at the services.
