Funeral services were held at the Augusta Baptist church September 3 at 2:30 p. m. for Harley 0. Boucher, who passed away at his farm home at rural Fredonia, August 31 after an illness of several years. Rev. Benjamin Hinkson was in charge of the services. His comforting words were greatly appreciated by those who mourn his passing. The immediate survivors are his wife, Flora, of the home; daughters, Mrs. Forest (Ethel) Broomfield, Mrs. Marvin (Beulah) Cox, sons, Charley, Harley and Raymond of Augusta and Earl of', Fredonia; 17 grandchildren and, three great grandchildren; a sister, Ella Warrender,,brothers, Bert and. Henry of Augusta and Charley of Rose Hill area. There are many nieces and nephews. Burial was at Elmwood. Members of the family have told us that Mr. Boucher had undergone much suffering the past year, that he was patient and very appreciative of all done to help him bear his pain. He was so thoughtful of his companion who was con- stantly at his bedside. His children were with him as often as possible as was his sister, Ella who was there when he passed away. The Boucher family lived in the Central church by the lake neighborhood years ago. Later moving to the Farmers Point school district, just north of the Dennett corner where they- resided for some time. Four years ago they sold this place and moved to Fredonia. Our first recolection of the Boucher family is at Central Baptist church some 30 years ago. Harley was a member of that church.
