William Edison "Will" Gabbard, age 84, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died January 5, 1981 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Fayetteville.

He was born March 23, 1896, in Madison County, Arkansas, the son of Hiram and Sarah (Markham) Gabbard.

He was a retired employee with Arkansas Western Gas Company.

He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of WWI.

Survivors include a daughter, Pearl Chapman of Bentonville; four sons, Willard Gabbard of Seattle, Washington, Roy Gabbard, Renton, Washington, Danny Gabbard of Fruitland, Washington and Matthew Gabbard of Sacramento, California.

Burial is in Hester Cemetery, east of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
