William Kennedy Booth , 85 , former treasurer of Ware County and for many years a prominent merchant , died Sunday at his home of his son David at 624 Owens Street after an extended illness .
He was a life long resident of Ware County, and the son of the late John Wesley Booth and Priscilla Hargraves Booth , who came to the Manor section in 1847 from South Carolina .
The Methodist Church at Manor, known as Booth Church was established by the family many years ago, still bearing the family name ..

William Kenneth Booth was born in the Manor in 1860 and was educated in the Ware County School system . He was engaged in the mercantile business for many years and for four (4 - year) terms was elected Treasurer of Ware County. He was an active member of his church .
His death brings sorrow to a host of friends in Waycross and in Georgia where his family connection is widely spread throughout .
Survived by his sons:
David Booth of Waycross
William J. Booth of Quitman
George R. Booth of Alma

25 grandchildren
29 great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the W.L. Hinson and Company Chapel with the Rev. C.N. Rainey conducting his service folling burial into Booth Church Cemetery in Manor ..
