The "Perry Herald" on Jan 20th 1892 said:
"Annin Wiggins died at his home in this place on Wednesday, the 13th last, after a short illness which confined him in the home but a few days ago. Mr. Wiggins though 88 years of age, was an exceptionally industrious man and was never contented unless employed in some active labor, even up to the last hour in which he was able to be alive. Mr. Wiggins left a wife (who is at present very seriously indispensed) and seven children, all of whom were here at the time of the funeral, excepting one daughter, who resides in Missouri, and who is in feeble health. His son, Hon. Wm. Wiggins, who now holds the office of treasurer of Lenawee, Mich., arrived here on Friday, the day of the funeral and returned to his home Monday morning. The funeral service were held at the church here. Rev. N.C. Burd officiating. The interment was made at Perry Center."
The next day the newspaper said:
"The funeral of Annin Wiggins of LaGrange took place last Friday, the interment was made in Prospect Hill Cemetery in this place."
The surviving children were William Henry Wiggins of Adrian, Mich., George Annin Wiggins and John Wesley Wiggins of Warsaw, Mrs. Lapham (Amelia Evaline Wiggins) of LaGrange, Mrs. Church (Caroline Mercedes Wiggins) of Butler, Mo., Mrs. Carpenter (Sarah Elizabeth Wiggins) of Coventry, R.I., and Miss Frances Emily "Emma" Wiggins.
