Vena M. Compher, 83, died Saturday, June 30 in Vancouver. Born in State Center, Iowa, July 3, 1889, she had lived in Camas since 1967 and was a member of the Church of Christ in Camas.
Services were held at Straub's Swank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bob Payne officiating. Vault interment was at Camas Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Roy of Camas; sons, Warren Compher of Yellville, Ark., Maynard Compher of Washougal; daughters, Erma Davis of Bakersfield, Calif., Elva Hagerman of Nevada, Mo., Edith Moorman of Reseda, Calif.; brother, Floyd Maynard of Hutchinson, Kan.; sister, Pearl Neeley of Longmont, Col.; 20 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
