Paradise – Harry S. Welch, 74 passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. He was born September 24, 1936 in Logan Utah, to Harry LeRoi and Viola Sorensen Welch. He was raised in Paradise and graduated from South Cache High School before marrying his sweetheart, Morla Kay Kidman on his birthday in 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had two children, Mary Kaye (Mitch) Olsen and Harry (Kimberly) Welch.

Harry worked his entire career at White's Trout Farm and retired after 54 years. He made many trips to Salt Lake City delivering fish to the airport and there were always people that needed things picked up in Salt Lake and Dad was more than happy to pick them up and deliver them to save them the trip. He was always doing service for others but really had a hard time accepting service himself. Even in the end, he was trying to do everything he could by himself until it became impossible.

Harry loved his family very much and had a special love for his Grandchildren!!!

Harry had a soft spot for animals, especially those that were lost and alone. He rescued many animals and found good homes for them. A few were fortunate enough to be one of "Harry's Pets" and you don't get luckier than that.

Harry liked to play jokes on people and never missed an opportunity. He also got in his share of trouble and then some throughout his life. He always had a joke for everyone he knew, and even some he did not know. They were not always clean, but you had to laugh! He was a great story teller, the problem was, most of them were true. He loved sharing them with people. He was still feisty and liked teasing right up until the end.

Dad loved life and was the life of every party! And there were plenty of those! There was never a dull moment around Harry. He lived life on his own terms and always told it like it was. He will be deeply missed.

Harry is survived by his children, Mary Kaye (Mitch) Olsen and Harry (Kimberly) Welch and five wonderful Grandchildren, Justin Olsen, Jenny (Blaine) Fawcett, Whitney (Nic) Evans, Dallas Welch and Nic Paz. Also surviving, his Sister Carolyn (David) Chapman. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry LeRoi and Viola Welch, his twin Brother Jerry LeRoi Welch and his lovely wife Kay. We would like to thank the wonderful friends and neighbors that were there for Dad when he needed it most. Also, a big thanks to the staff at Logan Nursing Home. You were wonderful and made a very hard time bearable.

Graveside services will be held at Noon on Saturday, December 11, 2010 in the Paradise Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net.
