Lewis Delong Yoder was a wheelwright.
Lewis attended Crittenden's Philadelphia Commercial College in 1865.
Lewis' grandfather George Yoder Jr and his great uncle Abraham (brother of George Jr), were the first of the Yoder's to settle in Schuylkill county, coming from their ancestal home in Berks Co. PA, locating in what is now Eldred township. They secured large tracts of land and engaged in farming.
