Jane A. Walters, 81, of the Greystone community, died Sunday morning at her home.

Mrs. Walters was a member of Mountain View Disciples of Christ Church.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years: Charles Walters; three sons: Raymond Walters, Rick Walters, and Randy Walters; two daughters and sons-in-law: Bonnie and Dolphus Morgan and Judy and Robert Elliott, all of Greene County; her granddaughters and their spouses: Becky and Ray Ball and Tamsen Elliott, all of Greene County, and Callie Birmingham of North Carolina; her grandsons and their spouses: Brad and Teresa Morgan of Greene County, PFC Daniel Elliott of Fort Knox, Ky., and Chris and Julie Elliott of Ashburn, Va.; two great-grandsons: Lucas Morgan and Micah Birmingham; three great-granddaughters: Kailey Elliott, Alicia Elliott, and Bethany Elliott, all of Ashburn; her stepmother: Gertie Jennings; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Ina Ruth Harrison and Joyce and Justin Shelton; a brother: Jerry Jennings; her brothers-in-law and their wives: Bill and Pam Walters and Dewey Lee Walters, all of Greene County, and Robert and Mary Walters of Wedgefield, S.C.; her sisters-in-law: Ruby Jennings and Rosalee Jennings; a special nephew and his wife: Chad and Misty Walters; her special cousins and their spouses: Lillie and Clyde Willis, Jenny and Jerry Scalf, Nellie Gunter, Carolyn and Billy Ray Seaton, Donna and Curtis Rasnake, Kathy and Marlin Mathiesen, Barbara Lilly, and Larry Jennings; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special friends: Dallas and Lisa Bowman and Paula Morgan.

Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her father: Daniel P. Jennings; mother and stepfather: Lona and Glen Bowens; four brothers: March Jennings, Billy George Jennings, Danny Jennings, and Jerry Bowens.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Jerry Hopson and the Rev. Kenneth Bowens will officiate.

Interment will follow in Greystone Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chad Walters, Ray Ball, Brad Morgan, Jerry Scalf, Larry Jennings, and Ruble Parkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Andy Roberts, the Laughlin Home Health nurses, and the Caris Hospice nurses.
