Mary E. Johns, 92, of Cowansville, died Friday, July 17, 2015, at Chicora Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1923, in Adrian, a daughter of the late Clarence and Christina (Wyant) Hepfl. She retired after several years as a cook at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Mary thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren, and especially enjoyed socializing with friends as well as anyone she might encounter on her frequent trips to Kittanning area restaurants. Survivors include her children, Clarence "Casey" (Judy) Johns, of Cowansville, Daniel (Joanne) Johns, of Fenelton, and Larry (Lynn) Johns, of Nappanee, Ind.; grandchildren, Brian Johns, of Ford City, Darren Johns, of Dallas, Texas, Larry Paul (Anne) Johns, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dustin (Lindsey) Johns, of Nappanee, Ind., Lisa (Donnie) Atwood, of Cowansville, Amanda (Michael) Minicucci, of Allendale, N.J., Emily (Brian) Saslo, of Clarks Green, Pa., and Teresa (Mark) Eads, of Plymouth, Ind.; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Jim (Peg) Hepfl, of Barberton, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert "Ray" Johns; sister, Ruth Bowser Dunbar; brothers, Clarence and William Bowser and Paul, Joe, George, Leo, Fred and John Hepfl. Mary will be remembered for her kind, generous and friendly personality. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Monday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Cowansville, with her nephew, Pastor George Dunbar, officiating.
