Former Celina-area resident Mark Eugene Erwin, 47, 3384 Brumbaugh Road, Greenville, died Dec. 15, 2003, at Reid Memorial Hospital, Richmond, Ind. Death was due to cancer.

He was born Feb. 13, 1956, in Fort Knox, Ky. His father, Francis Duane Erwin, survives in Greenville.

Also surviving are a son, Justin, and a daughter, Casey, both of Greenville; a brother, David (Kathy) of Arcanum; a sister, Monica Buckingham, Green-ville; and a half brother, Kevin (Loraine) Miller, Atlanta, Ga.

A brother-in-law, Dannie J. Buckingham, is deceased.

He was employed by the Darke County Commissioners and completed submarine service with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the Loyal Order of Moose, all of Greenville.

Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Greenville Moose Lodge.

In keeping with his wishes, the body was donated to the Wright State University School of Medicine for scientific research.
