erna L. Perry Presley Kemp of Holt, Florida met her Lord on Saturday, December 4, 2010.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00PM Friday, December 10, 2010, at Wright and Ferguson Parkway Memorial Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Ludlow Cemetery in Scott County, MS.
Ms. Kemp was a native of Ludlow, MS in Scott County, born August 1, 1923 and lived most of her life in Jackson, MS. She worked as a floral designer in Jackson at Capital Florist and then Green Oak Nursery and Florist until retiring in 1982 due to a bout with cancer. She was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church in Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Cecil Augustus Perry, Horace M. (Buddy) Perry, James Roy Perry; her daughter, Audrey Faye Cornelius; one grandson; two granddaughters; and one great grandson.
She is survived by her son, Charles Acie Perry and wife, Mel; son-in-law, Allan D. Cornelius of Holt, Florida; daughter-in-law, Lucille Perry of Richland, MS; nine grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
