Funeral services for Ben S. Dorman, prominent Anniston attorney who died yesterday, will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Harmony Baptist Church near Choccolocco. The Rev. Charles R. Bell and the Rev. Bill Cutbreath will conduct the rites. Burial will be in Heflin Cemetery, Usrey in charge.
Mr. Dorman died from a heart attack yesterday morning at this home in Choccolocco. He was 60 years old and head been in poor health for several months.
Active pallbearers will be Lewis Downing, Ed Mellon, Dr. B.F. Caffey, Gus Hefner, Fred McMurray and Gus Morgan. Judge W.E. Boozer, W.W. Weaver, Dalton Swann, Hugh Fitzgerald, R.E. Faulkner, and members of the local Bar Association will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Dorman is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nannie Dorman; two sons, Ben S. Dorman, Jr., of Oxford, Route 2, and Lieut. George Dorman with the American Air Forces in China; one brother, James L. Dorman of Shreveport, LA; and two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Miller and Miss Caroline Dorman of Saline, LA.
