Mary Kay Shepherd, 76, of Lebanon Junction, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Lebanon Junction. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Melvin "Sonny" Shepherd; a son, Terry Shepherd; her mother, Pat Wilder Brian; her father, Paul Compton; her stepfather, Harve Brian; two sisters, Martha Brian Buckman and Linda Brian Deweese; and four brothers, Dennis, Scotty, Danny and James Brian.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (Terry) Stovall and Lora (Bobby Joe) Beam, all of Lebanon Junction; two sons, James (Anita) Shepherd of Eliza-bethtown and Chris (Vickie) Shepherd of Texas; four sisters, Anne Tyrell, Cathy Heckel, Jean Squires and Sarah Valente; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral is at 5 p.m. today, Oct. 14, at Faith Assembly of God Church in Lebanon Junction with Brother Mike Rodgers officiating. Burial follows in St. Clare Cemetery. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Faith Assembly of God Church Building Fund. Dixon-Atwood & Trowbridge Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.
