The funeral of Mrs. Christena Mohler, whose death occurred at her home near Timberville Tuesday morning, was held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at Rader's Lutheran church, near Timberville. The
services were conducted by Rev. J. Paul Stirewalt, of New Market, in the presents of a large congregation. The pallbearers were William Bowers, William Orebaugh, Jacob L. Tussing, Jacob Wean, Benjamin Knupp and Joseph Good.
Mrs. Mohler's death was due to consumption, after an illness of a
little less than three months. She had been unable to be about for
some time previous to last April when she became ill with consumption.
She was in her eighty-first year and before her marriage was a Miss Ketterman. Her husband was Samuel Mohler, a well known farmer of the Timberville section, whose death occurred fifteen or twenty
years ago. Since the death of her husband Mrs. Mohler had made her
home with her son, John Mohler, near Timberville.
Surviving her are five children Henry Mohler, who is now living in Illinois, Mrs. Bettie Crider of North Dakota, Mrs. Eliza Lloyd, of Near Tenth Legion, John Mohler and Mrs. Sarah Orobaugh, of Timberville.
Mrs. Mohler had been a member of tho Lutheran church since her
childhood and was highly respected and esteemed by a largo circle of
friends in the vicinity of Timberville.
