George Theodore BISHOP, age 77, of Jonesboro, passed away November 25, 2010. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Ruth Elizabeth BISHOP, and Son, William Steven BISHOP, and is survived by Son, George Dane and Elizabeth BISHOP of McDonough; Daughter, Cynthia and Jeff GOODWIN, Stockbridge; Grandchildren, Brent, Brooke, Emilee, Rebecca, Janell, Jessica and Denise; Sister, Mavis and James Brownlee of Stockbridge, and several Nieces and Nephews.
Mr. Bishop, a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, was a God fearing man who loved his family very much. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 1:00 PM, in the Horis A. Ward Tara Garden Chapel, with Rev. Edgar Waters, Pastor Gisela Mann and Evangelist C. C. Hinton officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM at Southview Cemetery, Thomaston, GA.
