James (Jim) Bell 1937 - 2010 Jim was born in Bakersfield to parents Guy and Inez Bell on September 22, 1937. Guy Bell worked in the oil industry from the time he was 20 years old to his death in 1959. Jim worked in the petroleum industry all of his life. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1963 which he also worked in refueling and fuels. He is survived by his wife Myrna of 53 years; 4 children, Shelly Glover, Candy Hall, Barney Bell and Cody Bell; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He loved his family and friends and had just recently returned to Bakersfield from Northern California to be closer to all of them. He enjoyed hunting and clay target shooting. Any donations in his memory may be made to the Kern County Gun Club Youth Program, for the advancement to junior shooters or to your favorite charity. Services will be held January 14, 2011 at the Bakersfield National Cemetery, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception following. www.bakersfield.com/obits
