TWO MEN KILLED AND ONE INJURED
When Double-Header Runs into an Open Switch
Greensburg, Pa., Oct 30. - Two men were killed and one seriously injured early today when a double header coal train on the Pennsylvania railroad ran into an open switch near Donohoe station.
The dead are Engineer Arthur F. Wynn, fifty-five (error - thirty-eight) and Conductor John S Pershing, forty-two.
The coal train made up of fifty-five cars and when it struck the open switch, it crashed into an engine standing on the siding and turned over, pinning Engineer Wynn and his freeman, E. E. Craven, beneath the wreckage. Wynn was instantly killed and Craves was crushed and badly scalded. Conductor Pershing was thrown from a car and killed.
