On Dec 31, 1935 at Nappanee, Indiana, Howard Evert Swihart and Beulah May Scott/Leininger were united in marriage. They made their home in Silver Lake where they lived all their married life. Although they had no children of their own they were very close to Beaulah's sister's family; Robert and Memory (Leininger) Cripe and their 9 children.
They regularly attended church every Sunday.
Howard worked for the Kerlin Motor Company in Silver Lake for at least 40 years, served as Mayor for a period of time and was Chief of the Silver Lake Fire Department for many years.
After his death he was greatly missed by his family.
