Agatha Elizabeth Moon, 90, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at a Cleveland hospital.

Born in Meigs County on July 31, 1913, she was a retired registered nurse and dedicated her life to helping people. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Jacob Moon and Hattie Ethel Hood; four brothers, James Jacob Moon, Walter Agnew Moon, Harvey Lester Moon and John Austin Moon; and one sister, Margaret Euphemia Kelly.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert Lee Moon and Nathaniel H. Moon, both of Decatur; four sisters, Dorothy Marie Whitehead of Knoxville, Phyllis Ethel Shelton of Calhoun, Julie Lee Madix of Oak Ridge, and Mabel Louise McKinney of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Good Hope Baptist Church in Big Spring with the Rev. Earl Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Fike Funeral Home of Cleveland, a Dignity Memorial Provider, is in charge of arrangements.
