Buddy was born Sept. 15, 1935 in Scotland County, son of the late Percy E. Barrington and Nealie Smith Barrington. He retired from Kordsa USA after many years of dedicated service. He served as a longtime faithful member of the St. John United Methodist Church. Buddy was a collector and was delighted to appear on the "American Picker" television show. He enjoyed meeting and talking with people and was always trying to help others.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Graham, and a sister, Mary Alice Koeperich.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Nell B. Barrington; sons Mitchell "Mickey" Barrington of Charlotte, Malcolm Barrington of the Philippines, Ricky Jacobs of Maxton, and Wade Taylor of Spartanburg, S.C.; daughters Freida B. Nesbitt of Gibson, Rita Ann Locklear and husband John of Pembroke, and Cindy White and husband Richard of Bennettsville, S.C.; a sister, Lucy Skipper of Clinton; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
