A veteran of WWII, he served with the Army. John was a truck driver for 40 years, having driven for Texaco, Rellim Mill and Big Loaf Bread. He was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish.
John was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending many hours working outdoors. Family and friends all commented on the beauty of his property. John's other hobbies included fly fishing and he was an avid bowler for many years.
He is survived by his sisters Lorraine Scheafer and Theresa Scarpeli, brother Peter Aguiar, long-time friend Tony Luis, Sr. and many other relatives.
John was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Marie Aguiar, siblings Tony Aguiar, Mary Collins and Pauline Roll, and long-time companion and friend Velma Yackamouih.
