Alberta A. Birkenbine, 76, of 5868 Old Route 22, Upper Bern Township, died of natural causes May 9 at 8;25 a.m. in her residence.
She was the wife of Gilbert R. Birkenbine.
Born in Bethel Township, she was a daughter of the late Edwin D. and Mary (Roeder) Reber.
She operated a beef and poultry farm with her husband in Upper Tulpehocken Township, last working in 1987.
She was a member of zion (Blue Mountain) United Church of Christ, Strausstown.
Also surviving are two daughters: Faye L. (Birkenbine) Moyer, Womelsdorf, and Lois A. (Birkenbine) Spohn, Greenwich Township; a son Glenn C. of Bethel Township; and four grandchildren.
Services will be private in the Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg. Burial will be in Strausstown Cemetery
