Charles and Lois (Denman) Boschult moved to the Al Roam farm, two miles north of Neligh, Nebraska, in March 1944. Included in the family were Carl, who was then a Junior in High School and Naomi who was a Freshman in High School and Eunice and
Paul, who attended rural school.

Charles farmed for several years. He also had a cow-calf herd of cattle. He usually fatted the calves. For a few years, he also had a flock of sheep, which proved profitable for the lamb crop as well as the wool produced.

In 1950, REA (Rural Electric Authority) lines were built along the farm so the farm was then equipped with electricity. In 1954, irrigation was installed, with a well dug whose pumping power was electricity.

Our children all graduated from Neligh High School. We surely enjoyed living in Antelope County during those years when our children were in high school and on
through their college years.

In 1973 the farm was sold to Leonard and Mary Ellen Miller. Charles and Lois continued to live on the farm as renters. In 1975 we moved to Tilden, still in Antelope County, then in 1982 we moved to Skyline Manor in Omaha.

A son, David was born in 1945 in Antelope County, was married to Roxie DePeel in December of 1975. They lived on the family farm until building the new house in 1979, built on the southwest corner of the farm. Dave farmed with his Dad until 1980, then went to work for Union Oil Co-op. In 1981 he left Union Oil and went to work for the State of Nebraska, Department of Agriculture. Roxie is an LPN and has worked in both Tilden and Neligh nursing homes. A daughter, Angela was born to David and Roxie in
November of 1982. Roxie was from Brunswick.

Carl was married to Alice Johnson of Haviland, Kansas in 1949. He taught school in Neligh in the mid 1950's. Carl and Alice had two sons when they lived in Neligh, Larrie and Ron. After they moved from the area, they had another son and daughter. Carl is now an anesthesiologist in Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Naomi was married to Benton Patzkowski in 1955. They live in Fairview, Oklahoma.
He is a public accountant. Eunice, an RN is married to Richard Becker, an airplane
mechanic for United Air Lines. They live in San Bruno, California.
