Charles B. Cripps, Sr. age 60, of Big Clifty, Ky., died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky. He was born June 6, 1945 in Limp, Ky., the son of Sherman Paul Sr. and Anna Lenora Cripps. He was a Carpenter, and a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Tate Cripps of Big Clifty; one son, Charles Cripps Jr. of Big Clifty; one daughter, Megan Cripps of Big Clifty; four brothers, Sherman Paul Cripps Jr. of Big Clifty, Edward Cripps of Glendale, Ky., and James and Robert Cripps, both of Louisville, Ky.; five sisters, Martha Langley of St. Paul, Ky., Emergene Eversole, Gerladine Cripps, and Donna McCorter all of Louisville, and Helen Ritchie of Mt. Hebron, Ky. Also surviving are two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, Ky. Burial was in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Big Clifty. Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors in Leitchfield were in charge on the arrangements.
