Nellie Padgett, 80, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 4, 2010. She resided at 4971 West Pavant Avenue (3710 South) in the Hunter area of West Valley City, Utah at the time of her death.

She was born May 17, 1930 in Charleston, UT, daughter of Henry Lawrence and Delma Sims Holliman. Her family moved to Columbia, UT, where she spent her childhood and met her lifelong sweetheart, Oscar, after he came to Utah from Ohio after the war to find work in the mines. They were married on March 23, 1948 in Elko, NV.

Her three boys were born and raised in Columbia, UT. In 1965, they moved their family to Granger, UT, where they have resided ever since. Oscar passed away in 2004 and she has been so lonely without him in her life. She is now being comforted in his loving arms. She devoted her entire life to her family and strived to be the best wife and mother she could be.

Survived by sons: Larry, West Valley City, UT; Jim (Louise), Coalville, UT; Brett (Becky) West Jordan, UT; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Boyd (Colleen) Holliman, Huntington Beach, CA; and her loved ones from Ohio. Preceded in death by husband, Oscar; grandson, Zack; sisters: Norma Felt and Donna Christy.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. in the Hunter Stake Center, 3725 South Pavant Avenue (5000 West). Viewings will be held on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and Friday at the Church from 11:00-11:45 a.m.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
