" Max A. Cooper, 29, Dies -- "Max Aaron Cooper of 1007 South Waco died in Campbell Memorial Hospital at 4:35 P.M., Sunday after a lengthy illness. He was born June 26, 1943 in Parker County and had lived in Texas all of his life. He had lived in Sherman where he was employed by the Soil Conservation Service before moving back to Weatherford about a month ago. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church of Sherman and was a military service veteran.
Survivors include his widow, Mary Miller Cooper; one daughter, Wynne; two sons, Aaron Hugh and Wayne Cooper, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Cooper of Dennis; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Gibson of Fort Worth and Miss Kittie Cooper of Dennis; two brothers, Dr. Gary Cooper of Granbury and Charles Cooper of Dennis; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Kittie Cooper of Dennis and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Gill of Dennis. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday in the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Wood of Sherman, and Rev. Roland Burnett of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Johnson Cemetery near Dennis with Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. The family has asked that in lieu of other remembrances that donations be given to the American Cancer Society."
