"Elizabeth J. Vogelsang
FORT LORAMIE--Elizabeth J. (Betty) Vogelsang, 55, of 15 Greenback Road, Fort Loramie, died Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. in her residence. She had suffered from cancer for almost a year.
Born April 18, 1029, in Piqua, she was the daughter of Ed and Anny Moyer Gaier. She married Robert J. Vogelsang on July 24, 1941. He survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. James Siegel (Linda) and Mrs. Theodore Gaier (Joanne), borth of Fort Loramie, Mrs. Carl Gigandet (Suzanne), Dayton, Mrs. David Hoying (Helen), St. Patricks, and Mrs. Scott Seipel (Beth), Douglas, Wyo.; 11 grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Kemper (Ruth), Minster, Mrs. Arthur Zimpfer (Sarah), Troy; Mrs. James Priscock [sic - Prisock] (Vera), Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Thomas Ernst (Anna Marie), Fort Loramie. Three brothers are deceased.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Bruening officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday."
