Benjamin Franklin Reynolds married Florence R. Matthews on 6 May 1879 at the George Reynolds ranch. Their marriage license was the first recorded in Throckmorton County, Texas.

This section lost one of its real old pioneers when Judge Ben F Reynolds, 95, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.C. Wilkinson of Throckmorton, Texas with whom he had made his home for several years. Services were held at the Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Dooley of Snyder, a friend of the family. Judge Reynolds was active until a few years ago and served as County Attorney at Throckmorton after he had reached the age when most men retire. Judge Reynolds came to this area before the Civil War. He was raised on the frontier. Judge Reynolds was in the cattle business until 1892, when he began the practice of law in Throckmorton, Texas. He was a county judge and later county attorney.

Survived by two sons - A.W. Reynolds, cashier and vice-president of the First National Bank of Albany and Frank Reynolds; four daughters - Mrs. W.C. Wilkinson, Mrs. J. Brice Wilkinson, Mrs. J.R. Hale, Miss Ivy Reynolds; one brother - Uncle Phin Reynolds; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
