He was born in Beaver City, Utah. He came to Mesa with his parents in 1885. The family remained here for three years, after they moved to Colonia Juarez in Mexico.
He returned to Mesa to make his home in 1942.
A life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he served a mission for his church in the southern states and later a Spanish-American Mission in 1929. He was a retired rancher.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Centenna, Mesa; two daughters, Mrs. C. F. Quackenbush, Seattle, Washington and Mrs. L. E. Huffaker, Tempe; four sons, Anthon, Ilo, Peru; Frank, Mesa; Elgen T., Phoenix; Wilson W., Long Beach; a brother, Isaac, Mexico; a sister, Esther McClellan, Mesa; 28 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Meldrum Mortuary with Bishop Martin Ray Young Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Mesa Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and tomorrow prior to services at the mortuary.
