Dr. Allen Norton Garrison, 74, and younger brother to Dwight N Garrison, of 823 E Cedar, died May 29 in his summer home in Franklin, N.C. Dr. Garrison was a permanent resident of Lake Wales, Fla.

The surviving brother and family flew to Lake Wales that same day for the June 1 services held in the First Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased was a member.

A native of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Garrison attended Ogden and Western Kentucky State College, later receiving his BSE degree from the University of Florida.

He was a teacher of Arcadia High School and principal of Groveland High School,later becoming principal of the Lake Wales Junior High School for 24 years. In 1958, he received the honorary degree of Litt. D., from Webber College in Babson Park, Fla.

In 1968, he retired after 12 years as academic dean at Webber but remained as an instructor in business mathematics, investments and real estate. He had recently completed his 17th year at Webber.

Dr. Garrison is survived by his wife, Katherine Glass Garrison; a son Allen K Garrison, Atlanta, Ga., and a daughter, Mrs Frank R Bielawa, Washington D.C.; one brother, Dwight N. Garrison, Seguin; and five grandchildren.

Dr. R.T. Nelson and the Rev. Harry R. Edwards officiated, interment was in the Lake Wales Cemetery.
