Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mae Brown, 73, of Athens, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Hassell and Foster chapel.
The Rev. Curtis Mathis and the Rev. Chad Murray conducted the services and burial was in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Tuesday at 1:35 p.m. in an Athens hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Bosque County and had lived in Athens and Murchison most of her life. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Survivors are her husband, A.R. Brown of Athens; one daughter, Mrs. Elvie Dyer of Athens; one brother, B.J. Turner of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Weeks of Meridian and Mrs. Mary Allen of Borger, and three grandchildren.
