Mrs. Beard, 81, of Alexandria died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1994, in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
She was a department head for West Brothers and Howard Brothers, retiring in 1968. She was a charter member of Baptist Temple Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret B. Tarver of Alexandria and Betty P. Harris of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Elmo Liles of Modesto, Calif.; one sister, Christian Gaut of Dodge City, Kan.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. until time of services Friday in the funeral home.
