Colleen G. Patterson Moore, 81, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at her home in St. Johns. Colleen was born July 15, 1927, in St. Johns to Joy Patterson and Josephine Anderson. She was one of 11 children.
Colleen was a teacher for 32 years, beginning in St. Johns and in St. Johns.
She was an accomplished pianist and organist. She was a very loving and kind mother and grandmother. Colleen married Charles Phillip Moore in June 1951, and together they had three children. They later solemnized their vows in the Snowflake Temple.
Colleen is survived by two daughters, Shelley (Gail) Robinson of Page and Susan Humphrey of St. Johns; grandchildren Nicole (Donald) Cummings, Kimberly Humphrey, McGregor Humphrey and John Joseph Humphrey; great-grandchildren Gabrielle Colleen Cummings and Andrew Donald Cummings; brother Jay Patterson of St. Johns; and sister Anna Herring of St. Johns.
She was preceded in death by her husband and son John Charles Moore, eight brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9-9:45 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Downtown Chapel, St. Johns.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow the services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
