Requiem mass will be said Monday at 10 for Mrs. Joseph A. (Mary Margaret) Gagnon, 70, long-time Minot resident who died Thursday in Minneapolis, Minn., where she and Mr. Gagnon had been living since 1955.
Thompson-Larson Funeral Home of Minot is completing arrangements and friends may call there after 9 a.m. Sunday. Rosary will be recited in the funeral home chapel Sunday at 8 p.m.
Rev. Donald Becwar, pastor of St. John the Apostle Church in Minot will celebrate the mass at St. Leo's Church and Confraternity.
Born Feb. 27, 1892, in Fargo, Mrs. Gagnon was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Brosnahan. She received her early education at Langdon where the family moved when she was a young girl. She later lived at Grafton and Carrington.
Following her marriage Oct. 12, 1921, at St. Paul, Minn., to Mr. Gagnon, she and her husband returned to Grafton where they lived until 1925, moving then to Bismarck. In 1930 they came to Minot, remaining here until moving to Minneapolis.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Margaret "Peggy") Lauzon, Minneapolis, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Montgomery and Mrs. Lyle (Catherine) Weeks, both of Minot; one son, Joseph H. Gagnon, Hopkins, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Eugene Wachter of Bismarck; and 22 grandchildren. Two brothers Henry and James Brosnahan preceded her in death.
