Services for Geneva Salter, of Wesson, were 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Harrigill Funeral Home with burial in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Salter, 97, died Jan. 9, 2008, at Bedford Care Center in Hattiesburg. She was born in Upton, Ky. on Nov. 20, 1910, to Grandville D. Caswell and Leona Mae Light Caswell.
She was a retired kindergarten teacher for Monticello Baptist Church. She was a member of Wesson Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, the Rev. U. G. Salter; and her son, John E. Salter.
Survivors are her sister, L. B. Marion, of Clarksdale; and her grandson, John E. Salter Jr.
