Jean Perkins Vaiden, 94, of Senatobia, formerly of Memphis, died Friday, February 6 at Senatobia Convalescent Center. Mrs. Vaiden was a retired school teacher who taught in public schools in Memphis for over 20 years and a member of First United Methodist Church in Senatobia. Services were Monday, February 9 at First United Methodist Church of Senatobia with interment in Bethesda Cemetery in Senatobia. Pallbearers were Billy Payne, Thurman Caldwell, Les Dicken, Milton Cushman, Richard Fullilove, Tom Murphy, and Perrin Caldwell, Jr. Rev. Gene Horton officiated.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Earl Vaiden. She is survived by three nephews who cared for her, Clay Whittle and Tom Edwards, both of Memphis, and Claude Whittle of Hernando; a sister, Janis Whittle of Tunica; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
