Delbert passed away peacefully at home with his wife of 55 years, Bobbi, and daughter, Janette by his side. He was born November 10, 1931 in Dodgeville, WI, son of Adolph and Dora Rakow. After retiring from the United States Air Force, Del worked for Frank Gurney Construction and also owned the Lariat Inn at Mead, WA for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, but Del mostly enjoyed his family, friends, and little dog Misty. Delbert is survived by his wife, Bobbi at the home; daughter Janette Belsby of Cheney, WA, grandsons Marvin and Christopher of Spokane, WA; daughter Adell (Rick) Fuson, grandchildren Jayson (Sara), Matthew, Jessica, Kaylee and great-grandchildren Briana and Blake of Vancouver, WA; sister Florence Adams of Avoca, WI; sisters-in-law Marion Rakow of Debary, FL and Shirley Rakow of Avoca, WI. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers: Clarence, Harold, Kenneth, Earl, Norbert, Clifford, Fredrick, Donald, Richard, and sister Alice. Special thanks to Hospice of Spokane for their love, compassion and care over the last several months, and to the crew at the Spokane Fire Department Station #15. Del will be remembered for the love of his family and will be greatly missed.
