Odell Theodore Davidson, 61, 321 Hurt Rd., Smyrna, died suddenly Thursday morning in an Atlanta hospital following an attack.

Born Oct. 11, 1913 in Floyd County, son of the late Lola Robinson and James Davidson, he was a retired Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. At the time of his death he was employed by the Southern Detective Agency of Atlanta. He attended the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mattie Lou Melton Davidson of Smyrna; one daughter, Miss Judy Davidson of Santa Monica, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Mazell Bagley of Santa Monica, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Henderson-Frazier Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. John Mathis and Paul Loyd officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Robert, Harry, and George Melton Jr., Larry Tidwell, Hoyt Jones and Leslie Rutland.

The family will be at the residence of Hoyt Jones, 505 Charlton Rd.
